Overnight Cinnamon Maple Steel Cut Oats

Ingredients

  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 1 tsp whey, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, yogurt or kefir
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 cup milk or cream
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/8 - 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp collagen powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Sliced Bananas on top

Instructions

  1. Morning Before - Add water and whey, apple cider vinegar,  yogurt, kefir, etc. to crock pot. Soak all day for at least 8 hours.

  2. Evening Before Bed - Add salt to crockpot. Cover and cook on low heat all night until oats are soft and creamy. 

  3. Morning - Add milk/cream, butter, maple syrup, collagen powder, cinnamon and vanilla. Stir ingredients together for about a minute until well incorporated. Serve with banana slices on top.
