Kitchen Reveal White and Light

As promised many times before, here are some photos of our kitchen/dining room almost complete. White and light, just like I like it!

Aren’t those sea pearl quartz counters to die for! Hunting for the perfect marble like counters was very hard. I’m so glad we found sea pearl. They are the perfect alternative!

I’d love to get some more up close detail shots in the future but I was using my 55mm lens and it is really hard to get those shots with that lens. In fact it is really hard to photograph a room with that lens at all (I found myself in some rather awkward positions trying to get these photos for you). I think I might need a wider angle zoom lens. 55mm lenses are great for larger spaces where you can move around to get the perfect shot, not so much for photographing interiors and small kitchens. Here’s my pitiful attempt to get the little microwave nook.

Like I mentioned before, the kitchen has been like this for quite some time. We haven stalled on the last couple of things on our list because they aren’t vital for use of the kitchen. With the holidays and being pregnant, they just didn’t make it to the top of our list of things to do. We still need to pick and install a backsplash, finish painting the trim (it has primer on it), add decorations, art, a rug for the dining room, barstools, and curtains for the windows. Maybe this spring and summer we can knock a few more things off our list before the baby comes. As I wrote that last sentence my heart jumped… We are having a baby!!! That just blows my mind every time I really think about it.

  1. LOVE your kitchen. You should feel so proud of yourselves for all the work you have done. I am super happy about the baby, for you, too!
